The Golden Rule is on hold again, as you have probably guessed. I made a mistake on it-- used the wrong color, and it wasn't something I'd be able to work into the design, so I tried to very verrry carefully remove it. When the bottle of glue says "permanent bond", believe it. It was a disaster. Then the holidays happened, and then things got crazy at work, and then everyone got sick, and Life got in the way of relaxed time for quilling. Things are settling down again, finally, and spring is inspiring me to make new things. The Golden Rule will (eventually) return, once I forgive myself for being such a bonehead.
In the meantime, enjoy this!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm new to quilling and I really LOVE it, but I don't like the shiney spots you can see when the glue dries. What kind of gule is best to use?
You do really lovely work!
Thanks
Hi Cynthia,
DeleteThanks for the kind words! As far as glue, I think any kind of scrapbook-type glue works, as long as it's not too thick a formula. The other thing is to be very careful how much glue you use, and to remove any "extra" that shows while it's still wet. I usually have two pins-- one to apply the glue to the paper strip, and one to pick up any dots of glue that show once it's applied.
Hope that helps, and happy quilling :)
